Good Day All!
I was feeling good enough to make a few batches of soap this weekend, and have enjoyed my afternoon of cutting, so I thought I'd share. I've had alot of trouble using my PVC pipe as a mold in the past. I love the round soap bars but always grew frustrated to the point of fury getting it out of the tube. Yesterday I tried parchment inside the pipe and it slipped right out with just a gentle pull! So that's the way to do it for sure! I also tried a few new fragrance oils, both from Sweet Cakes (Bergamot Coriander and Mango Tea). I have yet to be disappointed with anything I've purchased and am extremely impressed with the quality of their oils. A few weeks ago I did "Romance", with WSP's "Romance in Bed" and the swirl turned out very cool - hopefully ready in time for Valentine's Day gifts. They all smell wonderful, and it feels good to be doing my thing again.
Greetings to all! My year has indeed gotten off the ground slowly. Good news, I've just sent out some adorable gift sets for Valentine's Day to my friend Laurie at Shirts and More in Kiowa, KS. I love doing these and the packaging designs are fun to create. Bad news (but still good) is that I sold out nearly all my inventory, with the exception of the few Christmas scented bars. So, inventory and reordering to prepare for 2014. A minor health setback has me slowed down but I'm looking forward to getting back in my groove, only better than ever! Today I made 3 batches of new soap with some of the marvelous fragrance oils I've collected recently. Will cut tomorrow and get some photos out there!
