Two more fresh scents

Two more fresh little bars are making their Etsy debut tonight.  4 Leaf Clover and Northwoods just went up - if you can't tell, today's the day I finally got some cured bars packaged and listed.  My photography is still in need of some improvement, but it works for now.  Time...there's never enough of it!   Thanks for looking and sharing my passion for silly little soap bars.  I'm glad there's alot of us out there to make this world a cleaner and better smelling place!

  1. They are both beautiful, but Northwoods sounds and looks intriguing. Is it manly scent? I like the swirls.
As photography, you have so many online editors (PicMonkey seems to be the most popular), put some light here and there, correct the colours and there you are- nice, original looking picture in a minute.
Also, would be nice to insert pages on your blog, (Home page first), they make it easy to navigate through the blog. Hope you don't mind me saying this.

    1. Of course I don't mind at all... As I've said, I can use some help for sure! I will play around with PicMonkey - it looks interesting. I don't know a thing about the photography aspect. I'm attending a workshop in a few weeks and that is one thing they will be speaking on, so hopefully I will learn a few things!

Northwoods is very clean and earthy, very good for a man or woman. My husband uses all my soaps and he likes that one very much. :)

Oh My Goodness - It's been awhile!

Hello Friends -
Long time no see!  Life sure has a funny way of keeping us guessing, doesn't it?  My soaping has really taken a backseat to life in general, but I'm ready to start dipping my toes back in again.  Now that my husband and I finally have our house fully to ourselves, I've been able to devote an entire finished room in our basement for my soaping area.  It's not fancy, but it's a big space and it's ALL MINE!  I can't even describe how excited this makes me, but there's no need - you get it!

Since the first of this year, I've been struggling with my health; eventually anything beyond the daily basics had started to seem way too overwhelming to tackle.  We'd adopted a young shelter dog just before Christmas -  (Rhett Butler - yes... Rhett Butler! ) but despite how much I loved him, it became too much for me to walk and play with him every day like he needed.  Rhett was blessed, as were we, to go to another family with two young girl…

Bubble Party!

Hey All -  I want to share some pictures of the beautiful bridal shower my sister and I put on for my niece last weekend.  I've had the opportunity to make bridal gifts the past few years for my daughter's bridal showers, but "The Bubble Party" was a brilliant idea - courtesy of our bride, Lauren.  She asked me if it was possible to do a "create your own" bath boutique for her bridal shower.  YES!.. And it turned out to be such fun!

Her idea was to have a hands on fragrance bar where her guests could create a personal gift for
the bride, as well as something to take home
for themselves.  I made three batches of CP soap and Lauren chose to make bath salts, sugar scrubs and body butter, with an assortment of fragrance and essential oil choices. We rounded out the theme with sparkling wines and adorable "bubbly" decorations!

This was a party for all ages - both my grandmother and my granddaughter were each able to make something lovely.  (I think I s…

Sweet as Honey

Hey All! Today I'm sharing a photo of a custom order I created by special request.  This is my Golden Honey soap made with locally produced organic honey and beeswax.  I use fragrance from  Majestic Mountain Sage for this particular soap recipe and it's just perfect for the overall product.
I created this recipe to showcase the natural beauty of the honey, which provides both nourishment and protection for the the skin.  The natural sugars create abundantly creamy lather that leaves the skin feeling silky soft.  The rich clover honey scent is rounded out with just a touch of almond for a soap that's a luxurious treat to use.
I posted photos of this soap a few weeks ago when it was first cut.  As you can see, it has cured to a dark caramel color and the fragrance has really held strong.  Although I still tend to struggle somewhat with stamping my soaps, I think this order turned out great with a true country look.  I know my customer loved it, and I plan on making som…
